Based on suggestions from Erik, I’m trying to empty the gas tank. I have a can & siphon, but it’s fun to get a little driving in before I break the car for a while.

If you want a ride - now may be your last chance (for a while).

Jack asked about using Toyota’s RAV EV power train for the conversion. I’d considered that as an option, but did not want to invest in the NiMH batteries. However, I believe that the Siemens power train (via Metric Mind) I’m considering is very similar. I am happy to use whatever spec’s and details I can dig up!

I got the RAV4 manual from Amazon today.  It’s got lots of helpful information about the transmission, break systems, and other electronics.  I’ve confirmed that my model is the basic (no EFI or ABS) model.  I still want to find the gross unloaded weight.  I’d like to know what my starting load is!
