MetricMind explained why my original motor thought was wrong.
ACW-80-4 has much less torque than 5135WS14 and achieves 30kW because of
very high max rpm. Rated power is 21kW, which is not enough for RAV4. If
you go uphill or tow a trailer, this motor will overheat. 30kW is
possible only if it spins nearly 12000rpm. No gear box will be able to
handle it for any appreciable time.
I’m perfectly cool with the more powerful motor - it will give me extra zip. The big negative is that it is heavy (200#). I think the square shape is cool.
