Mark F on AustinEV is asking about rebuilding his transmission and posted a link to a site where someone is posting about their DIY transmission rebuild. This is slight off topic, but the pictures are very cool if you’ve never seen the inside of a transmission.

I got this data last week, but forgot to post about it.
EV America ran some calculations with the 2 different Tojan batteries and the results were about the same.
I just checked this with Uve’s EV Calculator and the results match. However, Bob offered the following rule of thumb: “15-20 lbs = 1 mile in range” which contradicts the “they are the same” results from the calculators.
It’s really going to come down to how much space I’ve got for batteries.
And another item: faster speeds dramatically cut down my range.
