Final parts arrive & production cars

My final part (the Astrodyne DC-DC) arrived today! Now I’ve got everything in my hot little hands. I still have a few hardware store runs to complete

Also, I’ve been asked for green car recommendations by several people. When I was shopping for a new car late last year, my top hybrid pick was the Civic. It’s more cost effective and practical than the Prius. The greenest all around non-hybrid is the Fit. I heard that Honda is going to introduce a Fit hybrid to replace the Insight. I should also note that someone from AustinEV recommended the Madza3 as an ICE with potential to be an EV glider (get the manual) and I’ve met some very happy Madza3 drivers.

Note: I think that a Prius PHEV sounds very cool, but could not justify the modification risk and added $10k (minimum) for the conversion kit. Looking back on it, maybe that would have been a less drastic solution than the $10k that I’m spending on the RAVolt.
