EVs wanted for Rollingwood July 4th Parade

I’ve been asked to formally invite Austin EV and EVs to participate in the Rollingwood 4th of July parade. We’re hoping to have parade dignitaries driving in EVs and we’re extending the invitation to EV dealers.

The car There will be a chance to display the cars at the end of the short route.  The parade rolls early (around 8:30 AM) so it should not be too host or impact plans for the rest of the day.
I’m also planning (hoping?) that this parade will be the RAVolt’s christening!

This sucks…I have the vacuum reservoir components

I stopped by my local and helpful hardware store and got the right parts for my vacuum reservoir.  Unlike a national big box home stores, the people here know something and are glad to help. They recommended a simple and way to construct my vacuum reservoir without drilling any holes.

The reservoir is intended to “store” vacuum for the breaks so the pump does not have to run as often. It is just a 3′ long 2″ PVC pipe.

The parts shown from left to right are the 2″ pipe, female/female joiner, reducer, threaded cap, threaded nipple, host, and ring clamp.  A little more $, but I should get a better seal.  Someone recommended that I ditch the cheap automatic tube clamps and use nicer ring clamps.

2 Batteries! Front box is loaded

The batteries fit like a charm. They were easier to drop in than I expected - my battery box model was a little tall compared to the actual battery. Even the center support went home very nicely.
