I was reviewing my pre-parade punch list and I’m happy to say that I’ve completed everything critical on the list. The only laggards are the p/s pump (which needs fixing) and replacing the under engine panels. Those two items go together and will wait for a little while.

Jay Leno on Tesla electric sports car that can go 0 to 60 in 4 seconds and 200 miles per charge. Tesla is taking the very smart approach of using true $$$ vanity cars to prove their core EV technologies.
There is a also small matter where Leno clarifies the comment of Thomas Edison saying “the electric car is dead.” That quote stirred up the EVDL when it came out in Popular Mechanics a few months back.

Looking at the geometry of the rear suspension tie bars, it looks the the canting is due to the rear load. The picture overlay shows that more lift from the springs should definitely improve the wheel angle.
I’m ordering some RAV4 air springs ($65) to try and address the problem.

This site shows the real guts of a Prius’ controller. The excellent commentary is a good education for geeking out on the components and challenges for building a EV controller. Toyota has more experience and units in the field than anyone else.
