What a wind bag! Air springs have marginal results

Alex and I installed the air springs today. They are really just hard balloons that fit inside the rear springs. They don’t provide much extra lift because their max pressures is just 25 lbs. Even so, they did manage to lift the RAVolt a little and correct some of the wheel cant. This may work for a while, but I’ll need new springs eventually.
That’s a little better, but still canted.

No shaking on Shake Down

I finally got over my reluctance to “waste energy” on a test drives and took the RAVolt out for an extended run this morning. I was able to drive most of my commute and some extra hills for a total of 21+ miles. The battery pack finished the drive at 140 volts and I never had to drive under 80% DOD. I even went up a 3 mile long hill at 50 MPH on 360.
I am planning to drive my whole commute tomorrow (Sunday) with a fresh charge on the batteries. If that goes well then I’ll drive it to work on Monday.
