Truly low budget EV project: Forkenswift @ $700

I usually tell people that the RAVolt $10k conversion cost is about as cheap as you can do an EV conversion. I used the most proven/available parts; however, they were all NEW parts.
The Forkenswift project officially joined the ranks of EV’s today (congrats!) for a price tag of $700. Their cost target was defined as their “beer budget.” The parts were mainly scavenged including 2 donor cars and 1 donor forklift. Not for the faint of heart, this project shows that that tenacity pays off!

404! Why four at thou?

My host must have “patched” their WordPress instance and created a bug in all my site’s internal links. It’s impacting the other 3 blogs that I run too. Sorry about the problem, I’m contacting them about it. I’ll update this post when it’s fixed.
