Who’s eating this increase? Oil nears $80/barrel

Usually rising crude price translates into rising gas prices, but not in my neighborhood. Someone must be maintaining artificially low prices. Could it be Big Oil eating into their record profits? Could it election year politics and recession fears? No way! It’s must be global warming.

10/29 Note: Oil topped $92/barrel this weekend.
