You know, those are probably UK gallons, which are 160 ounces. In US gallons that would be 56 MPG. Not bad, but not as jaw dropping. I worked in England and I remember being stunned that large (Ford 500) cars with V6's there were rated at 38MPG and econoboxes were rated in the 50's, then I realized that that was only 30 and 40 MPG US respectively. Brits also thought their mid-sized cars were 20% more efficient than the identical US models, few realized the Imperial/Standard factor.

You guys are lucky -- here around Scandinavia, the winter lasts 6 months so the batteries need insulation and controlled temperature for sure :)

I'm glad that your excited about electric vehicles. The best way to get smart them is to buy an EV - that's why I did my conversion to understand what it's like.

There are lots of excellent entry EV choices - most are scooters or electric motorcycles (Vetrix or NMG). People have been successful selling those here in Austin. To my knowledge, the NEVs are not selling well. If you can establish yourself with small EVs then you could scale up as the market matures.

Hi! I'm all new at this ev stuff, but I'm am sold completely on the idea. I'd really like to open a dealership in my town. We see over 1 million tourists per year. Wisconsin Dells is located between Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis/St Paul. Who do you recommend? I'd like to sell plug-in's here. Where do I find out about this without being contacted by a scam? I've already found one person who got taken for a ride, no pun intended. So, ...got any suggestions?

I think this is a cool car, style with some utility. It has the same range and speed specs. as a gen.1 EV1 AND carries 4 people. When I first saw this I thought that if it were brought to the US it would sell like hot cakes. All of the former EV1 drivers would by it. But alas I read a report later that Mitsubishi has no plans to import this one :(
