Join the RAVolution!

I’m getting a fairly constant stream of requests from people who are interested in their own EV now that that RAVolt is complete. This page it the starting point for people who want to do their own conversion and I hope that this site will help other people convert their RAVs and other EVs.

The ideal candidates for conversion are:

  • Small / Light cars. The RAV is fine. I think a Honda CRV would be very similar.
  • Good condition - no structural damage!
  • Manual transmission

Prepare to spend at least $10k. If you want more range or performance then it could be over $20k! If you can’t do the work yourself then add $5k to pay a mechanic or conversion shop.
